I sometimes knock Lupe for being to wholesome for my tastes, which this is a good example of. However; he really flexes his lyrical muscles on this track, telling a well thought and meaningful story. In addition, the beat is hot and the video is a cool concept and works very well.

So, many of my fellow hip hop heads have been talking nonstop about Kendrick’s new album this week. Myself and many others have voiced the opinion that it may be the album of the year. I started wondering, who else has had powerhouse albums this year? A lot of people have been mentioning Lupe’s new album Food and Liquor II so naturally I copped it and its really fuckin hot. He doesnt get much love on StraightBangers. Maybe that will change.
