Robert Johnson – Crossroad Blues

Robert Johnson is pretty interesting.. Country blues artist in the 20s, he died at 27 (same age as Jimi, Kurt, Janus and others) after being poisoned by a jealous husband.. When playing his songs he would turn his back to the crowd so they couldnt see what his fingers were doing, and therefore couldnt copy his style. If you listen closely he is actually playing 2 rhythms simultaneously. Eric Clapton claims he is the most influential person in the history of the guitar and is on Rolling Stones top 100 guitarists list. Crossroad Blues is most famous for the Cream cover from 1968 (below).
